You see your children every day and you don’t notice how much they change but the truth is that they’re growing at an incredible rate and you need to take action to ensure that their growth is not just lost in the past as memories don’t last forever.
I know a lot of photographers who will use phrases like “capture the moment” or “Capture the memories” to signify the importance of family photographs. The truth is that your portrait photographer is unlikely going to be able to capture your child’s first steps or their first day at school but they can document them as they grow and show this in the best possible light for future generations.
I often hear from previous clients or friends who left it too late to get their family photos done. I’ve heard all the excuses and reasons for missing them. I personally spend a lot of time educating parents on the benefits of professional photography and I frequently send out useful tips and information to parental groups to help them take good pictures themselves. I don’t think it’s possible to get the message across using phrases like ‘Capture the moment’ but in essence the message means the same from all family portrait photographers.
