A big decision to make when booking a family photographer is whether to go for outdoor or indoor photos. This is a really important thing to consider but it can also be confusing.
I’ve heard a lot of comments along the lines of “I like the studio photos but don’t think my two year old will sit still” and “The outdoor photos are really nice but I’m worried about the weather”.
At this point there’s one thing I need to make clear- You shouldn’t allow these factors to play a part in making your decision as that’s not what family photography is about. There are tricks that we can use keep your children interested during the session (trust me I’ve not been beaten yet) and if the weather is bad we can reschedule.
When you’re deciding whether to book and indoor or outdoor session you must choose the style that best suits your family and let me worry about how we make it happen. If your family loves being outdoors, then you may find the natural backdrop of an outdoor session suits you best. If you prefer a more contemporary, distraction free style then you might prefer a studio photoshoot with plain backdrops.
The most important part of my job is making sure you get the best out of your family photoshoot, so if you are trying to decide which session to go for give me a call and we can discuss the options to help you better decide.
